red cards or know-your-rights cards, are designed to help people know and exercise their constitutional rights during encounters with immigration authorities such as ICE (more info from ilrc). They’re obviously not intended to solve the problem of the us government kidnapping people but they can potentially help people stand their ground, and they create a sense of solidarity and care which is so important when people are scared and hurting.
